Welcome to St Mary's Maiden Newton

St.Mary's is a Norman Church which stands on the site of a saxon church. The original building has been added to over the centuries to the building we see today.  It has a bell tower with a peel of six bells.  It also boasts the original Norman door on the north of the building. This door is no longer used and is reputed to still retain the original rivets.  It is also claimed to be one of the oldest church doors in the country.

Unfortunately the Church suffered a serious fire at the end of March 2011, but it has since been re-opened and re-ordered to include new comfortable chairs.

We are a friendly congregation who welcome everyone to our Church. We have a Sunday School once a month, Coffee Mornings, Messy Church and a childrens play area.
